Before you go quail hunting in Florida, the first thing that you should know is that only during quail hunting seasons can hunters legally hunt quails in the state. The hunting season is determined by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The rules and other regulations concerning quail hunting in the state are also made by the Commission. From hunting seasons, to regulations handbook, their site offers downloadable information about hunting in the state. The information will guide you as to how many quails hunters can hunt, the license that you are required to have and the weapons that you are allowed to use.

Although the hunting season is long, you should know that the best time to go hunting is at the beginning of the season. Since this is the time when the quails have just mated, this is the time when there are more quails available. So you should try to have quail hunting in Florida on the beginning of the hunting season, if you are planning on having one. You will certainly have more quails to hunt then.

After knowing all these necessary information, you can now learn the basics of quail hunting and start becoming a good hunter. Now, you should first start with checking into a hunting lodge, if you are a novice. In the state of Florida there are many hunting lodges you can find. And they can offer you the experience of quail hunting for beginners. They usually have guides who can help you find the right spot. Moreover, that you go hunting safely is also ensured by the guides. Now, if you do not have your own gun and do not want to purchase one, the hunting lodges can also provide you with the required guns for quail hunting. Also, since the hunting lodges purchase more quails for their customers, they offer more quails to hunt. A better chance then of bagging some quail is what you get then. Lastly, dogs that you can use in your hunting is also offered by them. With these, even if you have not done it before, you can experience real quail hunting.

Now, when you go hunting, you should know that the best time of the day for quail hunting is during the late afternoon. You do not need to flush them out much with the dogs, since this is the time when they usually come out. The weedy open lands is the best place to look for them. This is where they can take cover from most of their predators. Now, try not to make too much noise so that you will not scare the quails away once you have found the perfect spot. If you approach calmly, chances are the quail will fly away only when you are really near. You will surely not miss it if you have your gun ready.

Lastly, never ever shoot at a low flying or on the ground quail for safety reasons. Because if you shoot at low flying or on the ground quail, you might shoot at another hunter hunting also in the same area, so shoot only when they are in the air. Also, to make sure you do not hit the dogs, wait for them to flush out the quarry before shooting.

Interesting. Thanks for that, however that is not the limit of my appreciation. I am afflicted with color blindness (deuteranopia in my case). I mostly use Safari browser (unsure if that changes anything), and far too many websites are hard to comprehend on account of a poor range of colors used. In your case, as the selection of colors is fine, the site is amazingly tidy and easy to read.
